FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?

Yes. I'm in-network with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford, and UnitedHealthcare. For other plans, I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.

Do I need a diagnosis to start?

No. Insurance requires a diagnosis for billing, and we'll discuss it before anything is submitted.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, within the limits set by law. Those limits are listed in the Privacy Policy, and we'll review them in our first session.

Do you work with polyamorous or non-monogamous relationships?

Yes. I see individuals, couples, and multiple partners together. Each person's goals carry equal weight.

Who do you work with?

Adults 18 and over who are located in Illinois during sessions.

What do I need for video sessions?

A private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera. You'll receive a secure link before each session.

How do I get started?

Schedule a free one-hour consultation on the home page or send a message. I respond within one business day.

What if I'm in crisis?

This practice does not provide emergency services. Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) any time, or call 911.

Cancellation policy

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed sessions are billed at the full session fee and are not covered by insurance.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, if you don't have insurance or choose not to use it, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost.

You can request an estimate before scheduling. Once you schedule, you'll receive it in writing within one to three business days, depending on how far ahead the appointment is.

If you're billed at least $400 more than your estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Keep a copy of your estimate. For more information, visit cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
